What This World Needs

I was out doing my afternoon walk today and this song came on my Ipod. It is a recurring message that God keeps speaking to me (especially the part in blue) so I thought I would share it with you.

People aren't confused by the gospel,
They're confused by us.
Jesus is the only way to God,
But we are not the only way to Jesus.
This world doesn't need
My tie, my hoodie,
My denomination,
or my translation of the Bible,
They just need Jesus.
We can be passionate about what we believe,
But we can't strap ourselves to the gospels.
Because we're slowing it down
Jesus is going to save the world,
But maybe the best thing we can do
Is just get out of the way.

We just need to speak about the love of Jesus. I don't think that it's our job as Christians to condemn people. We can often push people AWAY from God this way. It is God's job to convict them. Conviction draws you closer to God.
